Why eTransfer?

The eTransfer service offers you a cost effective method of transferring funds through the secure ACH network (same as Direct Deposit) between financial institutions where you have account relationships.

eTransfer will allow you to

  • Transfer funds from another financial institution to your RelyOn account for FREE.
  • Transfer funds from your RelyOn account to another family member’s RelyOn account for FREE.
  • Transfer funds from your RelyOn account to another financial institution for FREE.

If you wish to transfer funds within your own account use the “transfer” option located under the “Accounts” button on your Home Banking page.

eTransfer Parameters

  • eTransfer is self enrolling, just accept the disclosure and begin
  • Maximum transfer is $3,000.00 per item, per day
  • Up to five transfers per day, ten transfers per week
  • Not to exceed twenty transfers per month, not to exceed an aggregate transfer amount of $12,000.00 per month
  • A $35.00 fee will be assessed for each failed transfer due to insufficient funds or unavailable for transfer

eTransfer Setup

  • Setup all of your financial institutions.
  • A deposit and withdrawal test transaction will post to each of the accounts you set up.
  • You will use these test transactions to “Activate” your eTransfer accounts.

eTransfer Recommendations

  • Contact your financial institution and ask for their ACH Routing Number. By contacting your financial institution directly you ensure that the correct information is setup and that the test transactions will post correctly.
  • Cut-off time is 3:00 p.m. Central for a transfer request to be considered the same business day.  Transfers requested after 3:00 p.m. Central are considered the next business day.
  • Set up your financial institution’s account information as soon as possible so that when you are ready to make a transfer all of the validating steps are out of the way, thus avoiding an additional 2-business day wait.
  • Transfers, dependent on when initiated (before same day cut-off, or after same day cut-off) take up to 5 business days to post to the receiving financial institution.
